Excellent and hospitable stay for comparatively moderate price in Cartagena’s historic centre

Excellent service, very helpful and welcoming hosts / hotel owner and staff, also in order to organize tours and give advice. AC and Fan in the room both working well.

Breakfast was delicious, but could be a bit more to serve. Maybe include juice / yoghurt. Storage space in room could be slightly bigger. Otherwise perfect!

The place is located in a quiet street but in the middle of...

The place is located in a quiet street but in the middle of the old town. Sights, restaurants and bars are close by. Our room was simple but clean and with a hot shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. Anytime of the day there was somebody that spoke English. Breakfast was served in a nice little courtyard.

What was the highlight of Casa Bohemia Hotel

Lovely place, lovely service, excellent location.

This was the perfect place for me to stay while I was taking Spanish language classes across the street at Centro Catalina Spanish School. The hotel is right in the middle of the walled city close to everywhere. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. It's excellent value for money. If you can afford to do so reserve an upstairs room where you might have more natural sun light as the lower rooms, while they have windows are a bit dark. This was a safe, centrally located homey place for a solo traveler and the free breakfast with a complementary free coffee refill was lovely.

Bring ear plugs. Cartagena is a lovely place full of life and energy. If your fan and aircon don't completely block out street noise, ear plugs will come in handy. This is not specific to this hotel, this is a Cartagena thing.

Spacious room with comfortable bed, nice breakfast, good price in the heart of Cartagena old town, friendly staff

If you get a room facing the outside street, it can get very loud well into the early mornings thanks to the bar next door. I had to sleep with earplugs

Staff are very friendly and helpful, location is great, rooms are good with everything you need.

The location is very noisy in the evenings, internet was temperamental, breakfast was late and basic. I got a good deal but I would pay extra to stay in a hotel that wasn't so noisy and a room with a window.

worst experience ever definitely not worth the money DO NOT STAY HERE

breakfast was good and ladies who served it and did housekeeping were great; location is in historic core

stayed in two different rooms, both had cockroaches. the second one also had pillows which smelled badly from prior occupants. the worst part was the 10 or so 'frat boys' staying at the hotel who were drinking and cavorting with 'hired ladies' and being so loud at all hours that it was impossible to sleep or even relax. no one did anything to stop or even question this behavior--apparently, the hotel owner/manager was away on holidays and no one else cared enough to stop the inappropriate behavior or intervene in any way. have stayed in many hostels throughout central and south america that were cleaner, more comfortable and quieter than Casa Bohemia Hotel at a small fraction of the price. in fact, this was the worst place i've ever stayed in over a year of traveling through Colombia, Brasil, Suriname, French Guyana, Guyana, Ecuador, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Curacao, etc.

Perfect Hotel for a Stay in Cartagena

This was an excellent place to stay in Cartagena. This was probably the best hotel I have stayed in with Booking.com and great value for the money. Perfect location inside the walled city in San Diego neighborhood with easy walking access to everything. There is even a big Exito supermarket close by. AC unit and mini fridge in the room. Comfy bed and fluffy pillows. Great shower with hot water and pressure. There is a Safe in the room. Amazing breakfast with eggs, toast, fruit and coffee with refills. Cute outdoor seating area/patio where breakfast is served. Highly recommended!
